CALLING all my SINGLE MAMA'S, CO-PARENTING MAMA'S, REGULAR MAMA's (I don't know what that means but roll with me) SOMETIMEY MAMA'S...........Listen here.. I swear to you it just feels like there is not enough time in the day. We work, rip and run all day for everyone else and NEGLECT ourselves in the process. Why on earth do we do this to ourselves? I know I have a bad habit of doing that. I neglected myself to the point of mental and physical exhaustion. I couldn't think straight. My mind was overloaded with thoughts I couldn't decipher through. I couldn't tell if I was coming or going some days. What did you do Enjoli? I'm glad you asked. I first had to admit that I needed a mental health break. I had to let myself accept SELF CARE.... from MYSELF. Press the RESET button. ( I know this may be weird, but it's ok to take care of yourself) I had time available, so I took 1 day off of work. Guess what I did that day? NOTHING... Some would say, I don't have time, too many things to do, etc. Understand this, there will ALWAYS be something to do. You have to replenish the energy and strength you give to everyone and everything. I also learned how manage my time and task list. You can't put a million things on your list, and get mad when all of it doesn't get accomplished. Pace yourself. Put a few REASONABLE items on your list for the day and let that be it. If you don't get it all done. It is ABSOLUTELY and POSITIVELY OKAY!!! Don't stress. Move it to the next day. You have to care about yourself enough not to tear yourself down. It's ok to say NO to things if you cant handle it. You only have ONE of you!! Take care of our self girl!!!
