Have you ever sat and thought about how God has kept His hand on you? No really. Like have you ever thought about people you could’ve had kids by? MY GAWD MY GAWD MY GAWD!! Like the diseases you SHOULD’VE had? The time you should’ve, lost your job, your place to live put didn’t.. the times you turned away from God and did the opposite of what He told you, got yourself in WORSE trouble and He STILL brought you out?? Man oh man.. I had to have a reflective moment of gratitude.
I was trippin on what was NOT happening right now. The things I don’t have and want. The place I should be in life but ain’t. Yadda yadda yadda. Too busy focusing on trying to get to the finish line that I missed the process. Yea, maybe things aren’t where I want them to be right now. But man I’m surely not where I used to be.
If you’re in that place where you don’t understand what’s going on in life; can’t see an out, etc. Pray about it of course. But think about how far you’ve come. Think about the grace you’ve received undeservingly. A heart of gratitude may not change the actual situation, but it will change your perception of it. Changing your perception will help you see the glass as half full and motivate you to keep it pushing!
